Closing Date: 07/07/2020

Role Location: Flexible with UK

Role Description

We’re looking for someone with significant experience of the planning system, and ideally a qualified planner. You’ll be driven by a passion for nature, a desire to see nature recover across England, and an understanding of the role the planning system can play in achieving that recovery. As an experienced advocate and relationship builder, you’ll be comfortable making the case for nature to MPs, civil servants and local authorities. Finally, you’ll understand how to influence decision-making, and recognise the value of public and community voices in that.

In return, you’ll be part of an effective and energetic team within RSPB England. At the crux of policy-into-practice you’ll be able to draw on the experience and expertise of a wealth of advocacy and operational colleagues, from those engaging with local plans and specific cases through to national legal and parliamentary experts. Your policy advocacy will be supported by nimble communications and campaigning.
