Fantastic ‘In Conversation’ Event 14 March

CCF was pleased to welcome Tony Juniper, Chair of Natural England, and Craig Bennett, Chief Executive of The Wildlife Trusts, to the David Attenborough Building on Thursday 14 March 2024.  The two talked about their long careers as environmentalists, sharing some memories of Friends of the Earth, for which they have both worked, as well as time in organisations such as Birdlife International and Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, amongst others.  They discussed the ways in which the conservation arena has shifted over the last 2 to 3 decades and there was a lively discussion, prompted by questions and challenge from the audience, around key environmental issues of the day. The debating continued after the event over refreshments in the common room, only ending when we had to vacate the building.  Many thanks to all those who came along – we are planning more events like these over 2024 so please look out for them here on our website.
