REMINDER: Endangered Landscapes Programme Enabling Activities funding announcement

The Endangered Landscapes Programme (ELP), managed by the Cambridge Conservation Initiative, is inviting funding applications for projects that will support landscape restoration in Europe.

The ELP’s principal activity is the provision of large grants ($3-$5M each) for the restoration of biodiversity and natural ecological processes to degraded landscapes. More details on the programme’s vision, objectives and the projects being funded can be found on the programme website: www.endangeredlandscapes.org

In addition to the provision of these large grants, the programme also seeks to draw on the expertise, experience, networks and data of partners in the Cambridge Conservation Initiative and wider institutional collaborators, to support organisations working on the ground, to add value to individual projects, and to create an enabling environment for present and future restoration activities in Europe.

The ELP is seeking Expressions of Interest for projects that will contribute to this ‘enabling’ objective. The programme will distribute a maximum of £276,000 in grant money, and the budget for individual applications should not exceed £70,000. However, the selection panel expects  to award a range of grant sizes. Therefore, applications for smaller projects such as workshops are encouraged. All CCI partners are eligible to apply. Projects must be completed by June 2021.

For more information on this funding and application requirements, please find a detailed guidance document at link below. The deadline for submitting an Expression of Interest for the Enabling Activities funding is Friday 5th April 2019. If you have any questions about eligibility for this funding, please contact David Thomas, Programme Manager, at d.thomas@jbs.cam.ac.uk.
