New Conservation Storytelling Platform Seeks Contributors
Wander our Wild is an innovative new platform that marries jaw-dropping visuals with incredible true stories about the natural world. Posts are written by explorers, conservationists, nature-lovers, and photographers. Some are authored by professionals; others come from amateurs. All appear on Instagram first.
What sets Wander our Wild (aka WoW) apart is its fusion of beautiful visuals, compelling stories, conservation content, and calls to action. WoW doesn't merely showcase the world's most stunning places and species; it informs and ignites.
Wander our Wild is an open, democratic platform run by a freelance conservation journalist and consultant (Millie Kerr) whose independence allows her the unique ability to curate stories told by any individual or organization in sync with WoW's mission. While obtaining a conservation leadership master's degree from Cambridge, Millie authored a dissertation on conservation storytelling, so she understands story structure, appreciates the challenges facing scientist storytellers, and cares deeply about improving storytelling in the environmental realm. She'll tell some of her own stories, but Millie primarily serves as WoW's administrator and editor. She'll help develop and edit your stories to make them as powerful as possible
