Farewell, crystal fish…

You may have noticed that the exhibition in the glass cases on the stairs in the campus has been dismantled, and that the Seeing Red..Overdrawn canvas has also come down. We hope you enjoyed that exhibition, which was curated by Ackroyd & Harvey (the artists who received the commission for the David Attenborough Building while it was being refurbished, creating the two permanent slate pieces: on the exterior of the Whale Hall and the Corn Exchange staircase).

The cases and wall are now being prepared for a new set of artworks, which will complement a major new exhibition of work by the celebrated artist and naturalist Jonathan Kingdon in the Museum of Zoology. Evolution as Inspiration will open on 17 May and run until 15 September. Jonathan will be curating the glass cases and exhibition wall on the first floor of our campus, so this will be a chance to understand more about his inspiration and motivation.
