We are looking for a friendly, proactive and highly organised Travel Administrator – Receptionist to lead our reception team. You will be the face of the organisation, providing excellent customer service and a welcoming experience to our staff and visitors, making the Centre a great place to work and visit.

The UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre is a world leader in biodiversity knowledge. We work with scientists and policy makers globally to place biodiversity at the heart of environment and development decision-making, to promote enlightened choices for people and the planet. With so much emphasis and importance currently being placed on mitigating against biodiversity loss, and caring for our planet, there really is no better time to join an innovative, forward-thinking conservation organisation.

This role will provide you with the chance to demonstrate your strong organisational skills and ‘can do’ attitude in organising global travel arrangements for our international workforce. A skilled people person, you will be excellent at developing lasting rapport with colleagues and will instil confidence as you manage all queries whether it be related to travel or other reception tasks. You will be confident in managing conflicting priorities and bring a calm and considered approach to the role. If you enjoy engaging with others, have a welcoming personality, and love to organise and take responsibility, this role is ideal for you!

WCMC attaches great importance to addressing safeguarding and ethical considerations in all activities carried out by its staff, including where partner organisations or individuals are part of the delivery of our work. This includes children and vulnerable adults in the community who may be vulnerable to abuse. WCMC act with integrity, are transparent and expect applicants to share the same values.

We can provide you with the chance to grow your travel expertise within a supportive environment. In addition to development opportunities, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including substantial pension contributions, personal development and a career that’s enriching and full of opportunity and challenge.  Join us and become part of our inclusive, fun and values-led culture, focused on making a real difference to global conservation.

If you are looking for a rewarding post where you can impress us with your people support skills, we want to hear from you. Please complete our application form and send it together with your CV and a short covering letter through the link below by the 8th December 2019.

WCMC is a UK charity that promotes for public benefit the conservation, protection, enhancement and support of nature and natural resources worldwide. We do this by collecting, storing, processing, analysing, interpreting and sharing data that increase our knowledge and understanding of biodiversity and the conservation of nature. Good data are the foundation of informed decision-making and we work with many partners to help them develop their knowledge and capacity to make good decisions.

We collaborate with the United Nations Environment within the UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC).
