Do you love the rainforest and enjoy working with people?
Then this is the role for you.
Merapoh Rainforest Station is a conservation and community project on the borders of Malaysia's national park called Taman Negara. The aims of the project are:
1. to develop local conservation tourism to deter poachers of the local wildlife which includes tigers, leopards, tapirs, elephants, gibbons and many other amazing species. The volunteer groups will carry out regular anti-poaching treks through the local area.
2. To assist the conservation efforts of the local research team by collecting data during the jungle treks
3. To provide an income to the local community which includes the aboriginal Batek tribe, who act as our guides in the rainforest, their ancestral home
