£42,036 to £48,677 per annum

This full-time post is part of a strategic alliance between the University of East Anglia (UEA) and the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas). The successful candidate will develop a research programme in an area of marine science related to environmental stewardship and sustainability, as well as interactions between marine ecosystems and the Earth system, for example marine climate – ecosystem interactions, biogeochemistry, sustainable fisheries, carbon cycling, marine ecology, emerging contaminants and litter, or ecosystem economics.

The candidate will facilitate research interactions between UEA and Cefas and contribute to teaching. They will have an excellent publication record and an ability to communicate and collaborate with researchers and experts from other disciplinary backgrounds.

Applicants must have a PhD in Marine Ecosystems (or equivalent experience) or a related area and fulfil all essential elements of the person specification. 

This post is available from 1 September 2019, on a full-time indefinite basis.
