Facilities Manager, CCI Services, David Attenborough Building

Application Deadline:
18 Nov 2019

The David Attenborough Building was renovated in 2015 and is owned by the University of Cambridge. It is occupied primarily by the organisations that form the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI). The building also houses the Babbage Lecture Theatre and the Museum of Zoology although this role is restricted to the CCI occupied areas of the building, composed of three floors, of around 4,000 sq/m, housing approximately 400 staff.

The Facilities Manager will be employed by CCI Services, a limited company, set up by the partner organisations of CCI, to provide facilities related services to the building. The successful candidate will manage all soft facilities related issues for the CCI space and will be the first point of contact for operational issues. Hard facilities management is currently managed separately by the University.

The Facilities Manager will manage a Facilities Assistant and deputise for the Head of CCI Services, where required. The successful candidate will solve problems relating to daily campus management in consultation with the Head of CCI Services and representatives from each of the organisations residing in the Campus. The postholder will work collaboratively with other members of the CCI Services team, especially reception, to ensure the smooth operation of the building.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in managing a vibrant building which houses the largest cluster of nature conservation organisations in the world.
