We are looking for a highly motivated Contracts Officer, with a balance of enthusiasm and realism for finding solutions to contract process challenges. A team player who will enjoy the challenge of working on highly diverse contracts in a fast-paced environment.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the contracts process at WCMC from proposal to completion stages, making sure the contracts are legally compliant. The successful candidate will be experienced, qualified and a proven communicator who will show innovation and attention to detail in managing all aspects of the contracting process.

You will work collaboratively with WCMC staff and external stakeholders to ensure that contracts are fit for purpose, are clearly understood and help ensure that contractual terms are adhered to by ensuring key information is readily available in Deltek Enterprise Resource Planning system.  The post-holder will build confidence in contract design and negotiation among WCMC staff through sharing their expertise.

The successful candidate will ensure that contracts are appropriate for each situation, with clear obligations and timelines of work and income, minimise risk to WCMC. Ensuring that WCMC Client and Supplier Template agreements are fit for purpose, up to date, cover anticipated contracting needs and allow appropriate feed through of WCMC obligations and risks. You will regulate and improve the contracting process, whilst also managing development and implementation of costing & contracting policies and procedures.
