Main responsibilities

As part of the projects that will be entrusted to you, you will work under the direction of Head of International Service.

You will ensure that the management of international projects but also national priority environmental assessment of development projects of all types and all sizes is in line with all regulatory procedures and international standards of environmental performance (evaluation of critical habitats, development biodiversity action plan ...) as well as nature conservation and protected areas (species conservation strategy, management plan, strengthening management capacity of natural areas, etc.) 

Project management includes the following activities:

  • Gather information from stakeholders of projects, analyze data, produce maps, write the contents of the projects
  • Organize field expeditions with colleagues (internal and external) and project teams
  • Manage relationships and facilitate meetings (launch, progress, return, etc.) with customers (private, public funders) and partners
  • Monitor progress and manage billing projects

Profile sought (knowledge and experience)

  • Training +5 minimum (engineer, doctor ...) in environment, management of biodiversity, ecosystems;
  • Significant experience with consulting firm, non-governmental organizations or donors;
  • flying experience environmental regulatory studies, biodiversity in France and abroad especially in areas with high biodiversity issues according to the most commonly used international standards (SP6, PR6, HCV);
  • Experience tender in protected area management;
  • Knowledge of the determinants and constraints on nature protection and tools related to protected areas in the world, including all the French tools (national parks, NRP, Natura 2000 ...);
  • Experience in managing multi-component projects throughout the life cycle (identification, feasibility, implementation, monitoring, evaluation) and animation multicultural team;
  • Field naturalists knowledge with one or more areas of expertise in ecology (botany, ornithology ...) appreciated;
  • Perfect command of English (written and spoken). The mastery of Spanish would be a plus.
