Challenges of balancing life, family care and work remain a key concern of professional women around the world – including in conservation. The demand for flexible working is strong – and employees and employers alike are looking for new solutions.

Part time roles are becoming more common – but may come with a reduction in responsibilities that could have an impact on progression. Job shares, where two people work part time hours to fulfil one full time job, are less well known. Could this be an option that would work for you? What about the benefits to your organisation?

Kit Stoner, Chief Executive of the Bat Conservation Trust will join us to share her experience with flexible working, including a period of job share as CEO. We’ll also be asking about her career to date; how she moved from roles in publishing, advertising and training to head up a conservation charity; and what she learned along the way!

The event will also include free time to meet other members of the network, and to chat with WICL steering committee members about the new WICL strategy and plans for the year ahead.

The Women in Conservation Leadership Network welcomes women, men, trans and non-binary people alike. We look forward to seeing you there!
