Naturalists' Field Excursion to the Jurassic of Cambridgeshire
Prof. Simon Kelly, of the Cambridgeshire Geological Society, is offering to lead a full day excursion for Cambridge Naturalists, perhaps unfamiliar with geology, who might like to see the fossil record of our own Jurassic reef remnant, just north of Cambridge. Numbers are limited, but there is no charge for the trip. For those without transport it may be possible to share vehicles to Dimmocks Cote. The trip will involve about 3 miles of rough walking, over the full day, and an opportunity to engage more closely with our County’s marine tropical life of 150 million years ago.
