The LIFE ON LAND Awards,

for anyone who has an interest in land and how it is managed

Please find attached your invitation to the Life on Land Awards to be held between 10.30 am and 1.30 pm on 18 April 2018 at the Sophi Taylor Conference Centre, NIAB Park, Histon (location details also attached).  Would you be able to extend this invitation to members of the CCF so they are aware of the event and that they would be welcome to join us if they could let me know?

This is an opportunity to hear about the ability to identify, promote and celebrate success against the general background of crisis covered by formal and social media.  As part of a national programme, these Awards celebrate ecological success in the county of Cambridgeshire.

There will also be the opportunity to hear from Simon Lyster, member of the Board of Natural England & Chairman of the Innovation Sub-committee about the Government’s 25-year Environment Plan as well as from Mike Toms, Head of Communications at the British Trust for Ornithology, talking about the science that the organisation undertakes and its impact.

The ecological work will presented in the context of the Sustainable Life Indicators that we have developed to act as a conduit between landholders, research, policy & society.

I do hope you will be able to join us and we look forward to hearing from you at the earliest moment possible.

With best wishes
