CCF Council Meeting
25 Apr 2017 -
16:30 to 19:30
We are planning to hold the next CCF Council meeting on Tuesday 25th April at the David Attenborough Building in Cambridge and very much hope that you or a deputy will be able to attend for your organisation.
You will see in the agenda (attached at link below) that we have a good number of applicants for membership for your approval, which shows the continuing importance of the CCF as a forum for information exchange and collaboration. We had a very good Annual Symposium in January, which was well attended and we are planning to hold the Summer Symposium on the topic of Connectivity Conservation – organised by our newest working group. Connectivity is being increasingly recognised as important for a wide range of issues in conservation and if you or people in your organisation have an interest in speaking do contact Marcelo de Lima firstname.lastname@example.org the chair for the group. We also have a new social secretary, Juniper Kiss from Anglia Ruskin University, who is gathering a small group to help work up a good range of activities for the Forum. If you or any of your colleagues would like to join her group and contribute to the life of the CCF, then do please contact me. We would also like to recruit more moderators for our newsletter, which is a nice way to contribute to the CCF and keep on the pulse of what is happening around Cambridge – it is done in rotation every 5-6 weeks (or more, if there are more moderators!) – and the process is relatively simple.
We will also have a nice time for chatting more socially after the meeting, over wine and nibbles provided by Cambridge on a Plate – really locally sourced and high quality!
