Cambridge BioBlitz - Cambridge University Botanic Garden
We are excited to announce that the Cambridge BioBlitz 2019 will once again be at the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. To coincide with the City Nature Challenge, the BioBlitz will be taking place from 12 noon on Saturday 27 April to 12 noon on Sunday 28 April.
A BioBlitz is a 24 hour species count. It has a dual purpose of creating a snapshot picture of the wildlife at a site, and engaging the public with the wildlife on their doorstep.
If you would consider participating in the BioBlitz in some way: either in terms of leading an activity for members of the public (e.g. early morning bird walks, minibeast hunts, bat walks etc) or potentially undertaking surveys in the garden or If you would like to get involved in recording species in the Garden, but don’t want to lead an activity, please get in touch with your name, area of expertise and times you would be available, using the form attached and we will get back to you discuss the best way for you to be involved.
The deadline on the sheet is before Christmas, but if you are interested please get in touch with Roz Wade (Museum of Zoology, firstname.lastname@example.org) and Chantal Helm (Botanic Garden, email@example.com) me by Wednesday, 17 January.
