Around the World in 80 Trees

St Barnabas Church, Mill Road, Cambridge CB1 2BD

Talk by Jon Dori CBE based on his best-selling book. We are delighted to welcome Jonathan Drori CBE as speaker on ‘Around the World in 80 Trees’. In a profusely illustrated talk, Jon will introduce us to the often hidden, occasionally bizarre, world of trees; native, naturalised and exotic. This talk will take place in the beautiful setting of St Barnabas Church.

Jon is the author of the international bestseller of ‘Around the World in 80 Trees’ (Laurence King Pub. 2018) about the ways in which plant science, human history and culture are intertwined.  He is on the Boards of The Eden Project and Cambridge University Botanic Garden and has previously been a Trustee of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and the Woodland Trust. An enthusiastic and experienced speaker, Jon will also sign copies of his book, which is beautifully illustrated by Lucille Clerc and which will be available on the evening.

This event follows on from the CambridgePPF Annual Meeting. The doors will be open from 6.30pm and there will be refreshments available including from Paul Mathew who will be creating the ‘Everleaf Spritz’ with his non-alcoholic bittersweet aperitif “Everleaf”, launched to great acclaim earlier this year.

Free for members of CambidgePPF and £3 for non-members. To book https://www.cambridgeppf.org/Event/around-the-world-in-80-trees
